Fame of Holocaust: Question 6

Why are there so many books, movies, documentaries, etc. about the Holocaust? Why do we keep retelling this story? Holocaust has been such a big thing and it is a big issue right now. In Germany, teachers are teaching about Holocaust and telling them it should never happen again and they teach them to prevent the deadly event that could happen later. Holocaust killed millions and millions of people in the concentration camp and it was only few type of race like Jews and Gypsies. I think that could have ended the race. That was kind of racist and I think that is against Human rights. I think it was one of the most killing time period because it was during the World War II and everyone was scared. Basically people got evidence like Anne Frank's diary and there were survivors, from those deadly camps so it is really famous and repeating. When American took Japanese and put them into Concentration camps, they didn't kill alot of people and there was reasons for that, but Hitler and Nazis killing Jews didn't have reason. One of the reason that Hitler didn't like Jews was that, Jews were smart so they became chief advisor of Germany, and they made strategies and other tactical things in WWI so Hitler is saying that they lost cause of Jews and they should revenge and let them be punished this time. Germany had to pay alot of money cause of what they did and they basically lost the war so they have to give money to the winners and they had to repair their country again. There are still mysteries and i think Holocaust wasn't totally bad because Germany learned and experimented things for Medical purposes in Jews. Now Germany has better medical system. If Holocaust wasn't in the history, there won't be Hitler, Mussolini and all those guys and problems with Jews.

I agree on why the Holocaust is kept being retold and retold: such a big thing that should never happen again, a whole age of terror. I never thought of, however, whether Germany would teach about the Holocaust these days. I didn't put it up in my mind at all. But it is good to learn that they are actually very aware about it and are educating the young to prevent such terror happening again. However, I'm a little confused about the last part: if there was no Holocaust, there wouldn't have been any Hitler or Nazis? I think it is the leaders that caused the Holocaust, not the Holocaust the leader.
