Foreshadowing: Question 4

Answer one of the following questions: Foreshadowing: foreshadowing is the use of clues or hints to suggest events that will occur later in the plot. Why does Mr. Frank break down when he sees the glove?

This shows that Mr. Frank is a gentle man that could cry for others and care about others. There are people like Mr. Van Daan that later sells his wife's fur coat. Mr. Frank's action kind of foreshadows something bad is going to happen. He really thinks about it and cares about it. It could also happen a happy thing that it could happen to him cause of what he did. I think it is going to be negative because the glove could symbolize the Jews int he holocaust and tell that they are in the gloves situation where they are missing and they don't know where to go. They might end up in the hand of Nazi's which would definitly kill them, but if they safely land on the Allied side they would be safe. The glove symbolizes but also it foreshadoes what is going to happen.

Theme of Anne Frank:Question 3

I think the theme of the play Anne Frank is still loving your neighbors and everyone even though bad conditions and conflicts come up. I really think that always happen in our life, but sometimes we can't stay with it. In the play, i think also love and family is important because they have to stick together as a family and as people that they love. Bascially it is a story of family and loving your family. I think this book or story shows that we have to act int he rightway in the right time. We have to have hope and believe in each other to live along and don't judge people by out look and how they do in the beginning. I think why prejudice is the word we have to know now. I think love and every thing about family environment is the most important thing in the story as well as theme. One other thing is that even though they have hardships they have to go on and keep working for what they believe in because there are people that is worse than you everytime. We should be thankful everytime and look forward to have relationships with others.

Prejudice: Question 2

"an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason." it's just a thing that people think about something without knowing fully. I think i heard prejudice, in a book title, Pride and Prejudice and it is a really complecated book. I think the effects are mostly negative because people doesn't want other to think wrong opinions about ourselves. We might have a good manner, but people could say he has a bad manner by just looking at his face. I think saying prejudice and making those kind of opinions which is prejudice is bad for being a friendly person. We make a lot of those decisions to judge someone and basically prejudice means pre-judge or looking at someone even though you have never talked or never knew about. It is same as not participating in a trip or an acitivities because you think it wouldn't be fun. That is an exmple of prejudice because before participating or going you made an assumption or a guess about that thing and decide not to go. I think that is an okay thing to do but if you just start to do everything like that and make assumptions everytime you will lose something and someone will look at you the way tou look. I think a little bit of prejudice for something that you really have to think is good, but it wouldn't be good to pre-judge people by their apperance.

What I know about Holocaust: Quetion 1

Holocuast was a disaster where Hitler, a German leader, put Jews in camps and killed them all. I think this came from the belief that Jews, a smart people and the advisor in World War 1, led the president go to the wrong side and made wrong decisions. Hitler was basically saying this to make something up. Hitler wasn't a politician, he was an artist but he got the president or the dictartorship because people were pushing him to be the president. A lot of Jews were killed and they didn't have hopes. It was a massacre, but it was like Americans putting Japanese in training camp, except Germans killed Jews painfully like those poison gases. In Germany they are trying to teach that Hitler was wrong, and Holocaust should never happen again to the students.
