The End: Question 7

What do you think this play reveals about our need for freedom? About the power of love? About courage and hope? About good and evil? In your answers, consider how the play’s themes relate to the themes of another work, such as The Taming of the Shrew.

I think this play tells us that freedom is a thing that you create by yourself. Trying your best and trying hard creates freedom to do something. Freedom is also important because Holocaust was the fight of Jews who wants freedom from Nazis. I think if you have no hope, there won't be any freedom because you have to hope and try something to let it work, not just stay calm and wait for it. Being with your famil is the most important and i believe that freedom is not always doing what you want and doing what we have to do, like being with family and knowing the love of family. I think "A Boat to Nowhere" was also a book that had a theme of family and "The Diary of Anne Frank" has almost all same thing because they are having a journey that could look impossible but they have hope. Still there are conflicts like pirates and polices comming in to the building and looking for a Secret Annex. I think reading "A Boat to Nowhere" helped me understand this play.
