Foreshadowing: Question 4

Answer one of the following questions: Foreshadowing: foreshadowing is the use of clues or hints to suggest events that will occur later in the plot. Why does Mr. Frank break down when he sees the glove?

This shows that Mr. Frank is a gentle man that could cry for others and care about others. There are people like Mr. Van Daan that later sells his wife's fur coat. Mr. Frank's action kind of foreshadows something bad is going to happen. He really thinks about it and cares about it. It could also happen a happy thing that it could happen to him cause of what he did. I think it is going to be negative because the glove could symbolize the Jews int he holocaust and tell that they are in the gloves situation where they are missing and they don't know where to go. They might end up in the hand of Nazi's which would definitly kill them, but if they safely land on the Allied side they would be safe. The glove symbolizes but also it foreshadoes what is going to happen.
